People who have good emotional health are generally productive, feel good about themselves, have good relationships with others and keep problems in perspective. They usually bounce back from difficult life events more easily than others. But, no matter how healthy we are, there are times when we can get overwhelmed, depressed or unable to cope. No one is immune to unexpected life events or circumstances. Stress, anxiety and depression can contribute to many physical ailments including digestive problems, sleep disturbances, increased illness and high blood pressure. They can also lead to substance abuse and addictions. When we don't attend to our emotional health, it can affect our jobs, our family, and our personal wellbeing.
ConocoPhillips recognizes that emotional health is critical to maintaining a healthy productive workforce and provides several options for employees and their eligible dependents to get help.
